TERRY LEE HALE
"Shotgun Pillowcase"
(Borderdreams, february 2007)

Borderdreams is proud to announce the signing of American artist Terry Lee Hale and the international release of his latest CD "Shotgun Pillowcase", produced and recorded by Chris Eckman (Walkabouts, Chris and Carla, Midnight Choir, Shilf) and mixed by Tucker Martine (Jesse Sykes, Laura Veirs, Jim White, The Long Winters) at Flora –Seattle, Wa-.

Chris Eckman and Terry Lee Hale entered Chris' home Zuma Studio's in Ljubljana, Slovenia in December of 2005 along with 10 roughed out songs and a commitment to let the studio itself become a partner in the creation of the record.  They counted on a stellar cast of top Slovenian and Croatian session players as well as Norway's great Al DeLoner (Midnight Choir, Hoest).

The result is an amazing album about risk taking, adventure, sharing and yes, even fun.  It is not about an artist running away from where or what he's been before but perhaps more about taking those pieces and parts into another room. This album is an affirmation. It's not about obfuscation and cleverness.  It's not about technique.

It is our belief that on all accounts Shotgun Pillowcase is undeniable: sound, vision, song writing and performance.
